Draining Oil...

Draining Oil...
I use a 12 volt pump, small units that have a hose to connect to the dip stick and drain hose into jugs.
The problem generally is that one end or the other of the hoses end up comming off the pump in process and oil splatters all over the place.
The fittings that hold the hoses on are cheezy and leak.....plastic.
What are you guys using to drain oil?

OIL DRAINING
JEFF,
Most of us out here probably use the same method you do. I guess it's just a matter of finding a good unit and checking all your fittings before you use the unit each time. My boat was set-up from the factory with automatic drain system. There is a pump mounted under port side of rear bench that is connected to draqin tubes that run to the bottom of the oil pans. Makes draining the oil a snap!
