Default OT/ Just looked at the 04 F150 . Are they nuts !?!?

I just saw the new style Ford F150 sitting on the lot so I stoped to peak . They are F*&KING NUTS !! $37,400 for a frigin half ton pickup ! My F350 lariet diesel crew cab was only in the $38k's !!!! This is crazy ! And I thought the 1 ton at $38k was nuts .......

OH, and a note to anyone waisting that money on this new truck , you CAN NOT put fatter tires on it ! Some idiot engineer moved the shocks outside the leaf springs in the back . You have about an INCH between the shock and the stock tire ............

The stupid truck engineers are as bad as the weatherman ! Neither one knows what the F&^k they are talking about !

I noticed the shocks first thing when I saw these trucks a few weeks ago. Still can't figure that one out. I would like to know the reasoning behind it though.

I do like some of the features these trucks have though. The body style, like any new truck, will have to grow on me.

I liked the interior, but the whole exterior thing does nothing for me.

I really like the new F150, I think Ford did a awesome job with the truck. The interior is much more user friendly, even the rear windows roll down on the extended cabs. They have more power, drive better, and in my opinion look mean as hell.

I think they are going to sell like never before.

I can't wait for the Lightning in the new body, if it is close to the concept it will be kick A$$

Sounds like you're comparing sticker price to selling price. Last time I looked at diesel 250s the sticker was over 40K. Shouldn't have any trouble buying a loaded to the nuts, 4x4, extra cab 150 for somewhere in the low 30's.

9000 pounds towing??? I had a 97 F150 that ford took back on a lemon law deal and gave me a 98 that they put two transmissions in before the warranty expired. Any of you guys towing anything with a 1/2 ton truck are nuts. These things are nothing more than modern El Camino's. Same drive train as a Crown Vic. Maybe they have changed for 04 but I wouldnt risk it.
