500EFI Modification's
#1
What modifications can be done to a 500 EFI before you have to start changing the computer set up?
Thinking about putting Brodix head's and a cam change to beef up the stock 500. Any suggestions would help.
Thanks

Brodix heads and a cam change might not help much. The 500 has a great camshaft and going to larger intake ports won't help unless you can extend your rev limit to a higher rpm.
You can't boost mid range performance (by going to higher velocity intake ports) with an EFI motor.
Pull the heads and install larger intake valves with some pocket porting. Use synthetic oil and duct cool air to the engine compartment/fuel injection flame arrestor.
Install extended tip spark plugs such as RV15YC4 Champions gapped at .045.
If you really want to work at it you can deck the block for zero piston/deck height and install slightly higher compression ratio, open chamber, JE pistons for a 9.5:1 compression ratio. It would probably need premium fuel though.
Good luck
