Default 382 windscreen

I am considering replacing the fairing on my 382 Poker Run Special with a stainless windshield. The fairing is great on sunny 80 degree days, but that usually isn't the case here in the midwest. Anyone out there have a stainless windshield for a 382 they are interested in selling?

Polished stainless windshields look nice but I have found two minor problems that may make you may want to consider looking at the dull finished frame windshield also.

1. The windshield frame on Formulas are a great handhold because they are so sturdy. The polished windshield shows every fingerprint.

2 When the sun is behind you the polished windshield frame will glare the suns reflection back into your eyes.

Just my .02

Good luck.

Troutly,

I was able to go back through the old threads and find the individual with the windshield for sale. I'm not sure yet what a "good deal" is for both of us on something like this, but we will be negotiating soon. Thanks for your help!

The stainless windscreen for the 382 arrived intact from California yesterday. Looks like this will be some fun putting together, but I am very pleased with this deal. Troutly, thanks for your help. OSO pulls through again!

Anyone know if the '99 model had stainless supports from the top of the windsheild frame to the side coaming behind the front bolsters? I have not found this piece in the shipment so don't know if the previous owner re-used them on the fairing or if they were not used on this year.

A verticle hand rail?

Even the 312 has that. The handle is stainless on it but the windshield is not.

RedDog,
If you are talking about the handrails, I just looked through my 382 pictures and they all have them.

WAGS,

Thanks, Jeff, but I think this thread may be going somewhere else right now. By the way, how is your lovely lady ... haven't seen any close up pics of your boat with her. Shouldn't you try a little marketing to get that 311 sold?
