Just got done playing on the lake with OSO member "RLW"and his Activator. I might be just a tad quicker but I'd trade him in a minute. Great hull for either race or fast pleasure. --- Jer

a friend of mine had a 22, someone else I know had 2 27's w/twin O/B's luvved them both. someone else has a 27 w 540 supercharged does at least 85-90 the bastard, only way I can beat him is if he runs out of gas. In 4 footers blew by me he was probably doing at least 75 the only thing that I could do was go home and cry, so I did

WetWet,
Are you thinking about Diamond Daves 2002 Activator that is for sale here on OSO? It is a bargain to say the least.
I have a 1989 27" Activator and couldn't be happier with it for my kind of boating. Built on Long Island, where many of the other great Offshore boats are produced, this boat is designed to run in the slop. Not much on creature comforts or spacious cockpits, if that is what you are looking for. But if you're interested in running hard in the rough and are looking for a basic, well built, performance boat, I would recommend an Activator.

Russ, Got some pictures? These boats kick ass...BJ ran the $hit out of his 27 and just sold it to another BJ!!! BJ Lynch that is!!!The new BJ runs all over the chesapeake and entered at least 2 Poker runs. Boat looks as good as the day it was built!!!
