Default HP500 and hp500efi

what's the diff in hp and torque, which one is the more desirable engine. How about price diff. any problems with either of these engines? I'm starting to look for a used boat and i'm not sure on the engine package i want. Im more into reliability and fuel efficiency (i know i know, its a boat) than all out performance. I dont want a slug either. I see a lot of boats with the hp500's and everybody seems to like them and have good luck with them. I figure its cheeper to buy what you want the first time then to repower later. thanks

Both are 470hp @ the prop. The EFI will be slightly more efficient and have smoother and slightly quicker throttle response. EFI is newer technology and more reliable, but will be harder to work on for the average guy.
