Lake Ozark Info

Great forum. (new guy) Am looking to relocate to the Ozarks and have never boated there. Would appreciate any info..good or bad on hi-performance cruising in the area. Do the cops crack down on mufflers? I understand it is very busy and can get rough due to the river layout. We just drove down there last month for the first time. Thanks!

the lake is a dammed up river.. alot of really cool little fingers going off it.. makes for a nice place to get out of the main water.. party cove is unreal bro.. noting is better.. girls on girls.. buy on girls.. and bring your beeds.. the water can get up to 6-7 on hoilday weekends.. i like to go the weekend before or after.. really nice then.. the place is 60% power boats,30% express cruiser, 10% tooners and bass boats... cops are really pretty good...BUT NO RUNNING AT NIGHT.. they change the lamps out on the front of there boat then come on the take down lamps..

It sucks. It's very wide. There are no offshore boats. All of the chicks are huge and flat chested. No nudity. Its so smooth you could ride a PWC from end to end with out leaving the water. They have this stupid thing called the "Shootout" where piss ass bass boats run 60mph and celebrate with shotgun blasts to the air. I can't even believe you've heard of it!

6-7 is proably the average. I stuffed my boat (minor) last year going into a 12'+ hole. Excellent hp cruising. The cops seem pretty fair on the muffs. I have never been approached on them, and I'm pretty loud. My suggestion would be to hook up with the board for our trips down there. It'll introduce you to the lake and some of it's peculiarities.

I ran the Thunder run 2 years ago. I didn't have the boat ready to run this years, but I did make the smaller one at the end of the year. I've never made it up to the Sturgeon bay run. It's something that's on my to-do list, but seeing 3' of water in the middle of the bay sure makes me nervous!

Great area, I moved down here a year ago in September. If you need a realtor refrence and a bank give me a call. I head up the mortgage department for Central bank. We are the largest communty bank at the lake.
