Question Tips for "selling" a motorcycle on Ebay

I've never sold anything on Ebay before. I finally listed my Eliminator/ZL900 under the motorcycles (obviously) and was wondering if anyone had any tips on this. Also does anyone think it would be worth trying to list a motorcycle in the OSO classifieds? Need input please. Thanks..... Outlaw

Have your auction end on Sunday night. Most people are home then for the prime time action. Post lots of picks, and be sure to answer all the questions that are posed. I have sold many things on ebay and bought as well

Yes, he is right about having it end on Sunday night! Between 8 and 10 is about the best times. Try to be online during the final hours, because sometimes people are still asking questions before they bid.

Hey Formula Outlaw,

Are you selling the Kaw to get money for a down payment on a Harley V-Rod?

Sorry I couldn't resist

Good luck with your sale.

Cordell, you found me out. NNNOOOTTT. I don't ride it anymore. I've put maybe eleven hundred miles on it over the last seven years. That's nuts. That's what boating has done to/for me. It now lives it's life under about ten flannel sheets. I want it to go to someone who would appreciate the bike for what it is, and, more importantly, how I have taken care of it. Pictures don't do this bike justice. It's cleaner, shiner, and out glimmers anything on anybody's new showroom floor. And mother does it ever run.....

I put my Virago in the Cycle Trader and had over 20 emails and 10 phone calls the first weekend. Sold it for asking price.

Bowtie, thanks for the input. I tried the Cycle Trader last spring with little results. Not many people really know what an Eliminator is nowadays. Especially with the "mods" I have done to it. Just thought I'd get a bigger audience with E-Bay. I'll get hold of Cycle Trader tomorrow and see what's with them. Again, thanks.
