Default looking for info on boat lifts

Just trying to get an idea who manufactures/sells elevator lifts, and a general idea on cost for a 10,000lb lift...

I currently have a 10,000lb Hydro Hoist which is for sale because there's not enough water or space for it in the new location...

Any info is greatly appreciated..

boat lefts hold your boat out of the water.. LOL

sorry bro couldn't help that one..

if you are in the market for a new left go big.. it helps the resale value of your house.. and what i mean by that is.. if you drop in a 10k left that will hold a pretty good size boat.. but for the extra cost of a bigger left say 15k it help when you go to sell the house.. because there's not to many boat out there at people left over 15k.. until you get into the Ocean and Hat's and they are all inboard... just my two cents

I don't know anything about them, but it looks like it would work in shallow water. However, you do need a wide slip.

Simple, Hi-Tide is the way to go. Also go bigger than what you need just in case you get a bigger boat. The 35 Cafe full of fuel, gear and people is probably going to weigh more than 10,000 too. Since you're probably going to be loading the people onto the boat while it's on the lift a little extra safety margin isn't going to hurt.
Elevators are good when you can't drive 4 pilings. However, if you have the opportunity to drive pilings go with a 4 pile lift. Less maintenance. I have 3 lifts at my house, 2 elevators and 1 4 pile lift. In 10 years I had to replace the elevator "masts" the part that goes into the water, but on the 4 post lift I only had to replace the cables after 8 years.
I've found Hi-Tide to have the best warranty in the biz. Even when the lifts were out of warranty hi-tide covered parts for me. Another must on a lift is a remote. Don't even think about installing a lift without it.
800-544-0735 is hi-tide's number.

Sunstream is a great lift if you can't drive piles or don't have a bulhead to put an elevator on. It would be my choice, however if you can drive piles or have a bulkhead or "sea wall" as they call them in the south then I would recommend an elevator type lift. There are a lot less worries and maintenance issues with "permenant" style lifts.

Default Lifts

Sean, and everyone else,
I'm glad to help out with your lift needs. And, as always you'll get your OSO discount.
Sunstream offers two boat lift styles- Floating and bottom based. Neither of which is permanent.
Our Floatlift only needs about 15" under the draft of your hull.

I don't want to say too much here, as Sunstream is not a paid OSO advertiser...yet.
Give me a call any time... the call costs nothing...

FYI- The Sunstream lifts ARE the fastest slifts available!
Reliability is top notch- Lots of government boats are on our lifts!

This place has quite a few, I paid 14K installed for a 20,000 lb 4 post lift this last summer.

I have two IMM aluminum lifts for my fishing boats. The big lift is a 16,000lb and uses 6 pilings, the smaller is a 6,000lb lift and is 4 pilings. I am having another 16,000lb lift installed this spring on 6 pilings but I am going to use a MYCO cradle for one of the Cigs. I live really close to the open ocean so keeping the Cig (whichever one) will be very nioce.
