Has anyone had any problems installing hardened 1.88 inch exhaust valve seats in the 049 or 781 BBC Heads. This is an oversize valve for this head. I'm looking for potential machining problems or wear problems.

Ive had quite a few of these done with no problems other than having to counterbore the spring seats to get height and pressures where I wanted them. I think the 2.19 intakes are about as big as you can go though. My heads were all 781's. I also had the cylinders notched.

I plan on 2.19 intakes, 1.88 exhausts. Some machine shops have told me that there may be a water jacket problem with installing a new hardened seat, or/and the seat will sink after usage. Other shops say no problem, so I'm looking to see what experiences others have had.
