That's a lot of money for a 30 year old outboard. The 1000 was only 100 horse and not really a performance engine like the 1250 BP was. These engines are what I learned on. Lots of memories but can't justify bidding on this at this price.

Damn!! I used to have one of those. Got left in the house with the first wife. You clamped it on the glass the other way and mixed the drink. It wasn't really worth $10 new...can't see why anyone would pay over 100 times that now. But I guess that's why she's rich now and I struggle to feed my single engine boat. --- Jer

This little thing brought $1247 and the reserve was not met? Im not sure who was dumber, the bidder or the seller!
