Default New Race? Algonac MI? NCORA

I just found this site, Looks like they are planning a race for June 4th - 6th 2004. NO mention of a sanctioning body that I can see. Any one know more?

If you read down in the text it mentions that it will be part of the Great Lakes Silver Cup series. Cool.

Race is GLSCS sanction. It is in addition to the St. Clair River Race. BTW the Lake St. Clair Race is gone.....

See the GLSCS web site for more info at: www.silvercupseries.com

Due to the ongoing political problems with APBA, the Great Lakes Silver Cup Series has decided to continue the series in 2004 without APBA sanctioning. We anticipate it will continue to be a fun, competitive series without the major politics. There is significant support for this action by many of the racers and officials involved with the series. Volunteers for medical and patrol boats are welcomed at the race sites if anyone is interested.

Hey OPA Same here! Like I said if you need a place to work on your boat give me shout.

I think its better to run the race on the river rather than the lake I think from a spectator point of view its alot more exciting being close.

The only problem I see is that part of the north channel is always the roughest because of the opposing sea walls. You guys better hang on!

The race course for the Algonac race is shaped like a boomer rang, this should be very interesting to watch and I am sure for you races that this would be exciting because you will not know where you competition is.

Is the Lk.St.Clair poker run still on? I have a few COPS people interested in coming. The sooner I can let them know what's going on the better.
