Default Gas Tax Rebate

Some of the dollars in the price of a gallon of gas is Federal and State Taxes. Some of this is for roads. Since we don't drive our boats on the road, we should be allowed to file for a rebate of these taxes.

I have kept my boat gas receipts, and I am ready to file for a rebate. Does anyone have a website for the rebate forms? Is it just Federal or State (Texas) or both?

Thanks!

I know Missouri allows a rebate for road taxes. I believe this year it is $0.17 per gallon. The gas dock we gas up at takes care of it for us. Not sure about any other states.

i received just under $300.00 in refunds from MO Dept. of Revenue this year. it isn't a lot, but it is worth taking the time to file. hell, it is the only refund i've ever received from the Dept. of Rev.

I just mailed in mine for the Cig that I got in Oct. 333.4 gallons (17.5 cents in VA) = $58.35 or Four 30 packs

I already got back $102 from the Formula that I sold in Oct.

Check with your states DMV to see if they have a fuel tax refund program in place.
