That was cool. I think it looked closer than it was due to the camera angle.

Watch the video closely and as the aircraft passes you'll see the grass get blown around from the slipstream. He was as low as it looked.

Check this out.........

'Flat-Hatting" Royal Air Force Style
Thought you all would like to see these!

The Jag he mentions is Jaguar and not Judge Advocate General, (just incase you were confused at first ). Ever know anyone like this? Are they still alive? Surely doesn't apply to "OLD PILOTS". ZAC

Chaps:
The following pix is forwarded from Boom Powell. The Jag pilot may have beaten me at flat-hatting, but he got sent home in disgracia, too...
YP

Some low flying pics. The setting is SW Oman at a base called Thumrait in the mid '80s. The pilots are all RAF on secondment or ex-RAF. The story behind the flattened car with the fortunate to be alive driver standing beside it is that the driver was one of the Hunter pilots driving up the highway to Muscat some 300 miles away. His chums knew he was en-route and had set out to ambush him - but not to quite such effect as it turned out. He checked his rear view mirror when a Jaguar (the aircraft not the car!) passed close by to one side and saw he was about to be overtaken by another Jaguar . He flung himself across the passenger seat as the strakes on the underside of the Jag dinged his roof and flattened the car. The Jag pilot was sent Home in disgrace a few days later.
