Default anybody trade 1100 cobra for 525's?

Looking at a 50ft Hustler with 1100 Cobras rebuilt 10hrs ago. These motors are too strong for me. If I bougt the boat I would have them rebuilt w/o blowers or would want to trade for Mercs 525's or 575's. I am looking for reliablility, not so much a 100+ mph boat. What do you think?

those 50's are sweet boats. i am asuming it has #6's on it, if so keep in mind that non-dry sump units take a great deal of HP to operate. somthing close to 40 or 50 i think. you may need to swap drives also.

detune the cobra's in the boat you are looking at, 650 to 750 hp per side will last and be easier on your pocket book
