Question silent or loud

the boat im buying has stock silent choice.
motors are out being rebuilt and i have the choice of no silent choice or leaving it the way it is.
im thinking more whistles and bells just means more trouble down the road but then again ive never had silent choice so i might like it. is it something that adds value to the boat or something most guys dont want?
its probably just a personel preference thing but thought ide try and get some feedback from you guys.

Silent choice won't satisfiy the cops if your in an area where they insist on mufflers.

They do add value because they are expensive, I think they are nice sometimes and they are a lot easier on the ears, you can talk and the passengers are happy. The only down side is with the flaps closing at speed, I hear they can and some zip tie them open since you don't want them to close and severely restrict an engine. Like you said, it is one more thing to go wrong, but I would at least install them and tie them open if you don't use them. I had a boat that I wished had them, there are many long idle spots around here and the drone would be tiring after a hour of no wake.

Nice option for the no wake zones. After a day of running, my ears are a little ragged, it'd keep it if it's on the boat already.
