Question There's a police car behind you on the road, what do you do??

Just ran to KFC for some hot wings. On a 25 mph road, a police car pulls out of the 7-11 parking lot about 100 feet behind me (I saw him there, they are always there! Must have donuts there or something...). Anyway, I'm going EXACTLY 25 mph..... had to go nearly 3 miles at this speed, up a big hill even. Well, he catches up to me about 100 yds. from the stop light and gets behind me in the left turn lane. Now, I just got my license tabs, just paid my insurance, and I'm still wondering if he is going to pull me over! Speed limit, paper work in order, no swerving, haven't had a drink in many days, I am doing everything correct.

So, why am I still worried that as I see him looking down at his console, I'm just SURE he is running my plate and that he is going to pull me over!

I pulled into KFC and he went right on by.

So, all you cops out there, do you routinely run plates of the cars you are behind???

I used to shoot for a show call Real Stories of the Highway Patrol and I spent alot of time with them. Most of the time they are whishing you would speed up and get the hell over or turn off so they can haul ass!!
Those guys had two speeds...Gas and Brakes, that's it.

The road I was on goes right past the shiny new police station. Thought he was going to turn in there. Nope. Top of the hill is the nice new court house and city hall. Thought he might turn in there. NOT.

This was a 4 lane road, he could have gone around me easily. I stayed in the left lane because I had to make a left turn. I honestly watched him look down at his console.....move his right arm.... He MUST have been running my plate.

Hey Waterfoul.... do you wear a "mullet" hair cut? Those usually attract cops....

Hey, they gotta be behind someone.
You can ALWAYS tell when a trooper is on the highway in front of ya. Cars bunched up and going speed limit. Bunch of pansies. I usually drive over limit, not flying, but not getting passed very often either. I think there is a 10-15% margin of tolerance. Have passed officers on the highway, but only if less than 15% over posted limit.

Now, I will follow one that likes to boogie like no tommorrow. What's good for the goose............

Reed, I have my hair cut high and tight normally. Need a hair cut right now though..... remember Kid and Play? Tall hair?? Well, not that tall, but I need a hair cut!!

10-15% margin? So, if the limit is 70, you think you will get away with passing a cop doing 80.5 (that's 15%)??? In Michigan, I GAURENTEE you will get a ticket. And where you live, my experience is that the state troopers are LESS tollerant. I usually run 77 or so on the freeway, except on the way to work in the morning, where if you are not doing 85 you are in the way!!!
