I didnt quite get as many days off as I wanted. But I was still able to schedule 4 weeks off from work with pay. I will be in Florida staying with OSO member ChrisK starting this weekend. The plan is to line up some possible jobs with some of the local police/sheriff departments. However, I am also going to take a look at the general job market to see what it is like. I am considering jobs in the boating field also. Now, of course, I will have to partake in the local social atmosphere to determine if this is truely where I want to end up. So, any and all suggestions are welcome. I am not going to bring my boat down at this time so I will have to rely on the generousity of others to get out on the water for the time being. Let me know what you think. I am looking forward to this trip and would like to get to meet some of the members on here. BTW, I am already going to be at the Miami Boat Show.

Good luck to you man. I've considered it more than once. I obtained professional liscensure in Fla. 4-5 years ago in case I got the "bug". I think about it all the time...well moreso this time of year!

bro if your are a cop.. look into the water cops.. BOS.. they have it pretty easy.. just run up and down the inter-coastal and make sure all the boaters are being safe.. and if you do get the job.. please rember that i work at the aqua toy store and give a guy a pass every now and then on the 25mph zones... thanks
