I really will miss Jersey - 4 mo.s out of the year... oh yeah, taxes - won't miss those either... and uh the traffic - that could go to... wait and insurance for car and boat that.... and....

Yep, you'll be pleasantly surprised with many things. I moved from Jersey to FL, myself.
I'm still working on the list of eveerything that's better. No state tax, cheaper fuel, cheaper just about everything, generally real estate is less(except in the richest areas), car insurance was cut by 2/3, the wait at the DMV is like 3 minutes not 3 hours, etc, etc, etc......
