hanging head in shame... I'm sorry.....

I was at the site because my wife and I are buying a sailboat. Now I must got commit suicide.

I know all of you guys hate blow boaters. But have any of you been sailing? I do all types of boating and if it gets me out on the water I'll pretty much go for it. Plus she promissed she would stay naked most of the time on the sailboat. Just this fact is begining to change most of your opinions on sailing, huh.

If you are going to be running at high speeds, make sure you get a jacket that is rated for high speeds.

If you don't, it will just peel away when you hit the water.

Good places to buy high perf jackets:

www.lifelinejackets.com

www.securityrace.com

You can even order them in colors to match your boat:

I like to go blowboating once in a while...trying to go 5 mph can be really challenging!

One advantage that immediately comes to mind with sailing is the prospects of dead air causing more time spent adrift and being forced to finish all the beer onboard.

After long enough in dead calm then out of shear desperation all the drunk folks onboard would have to come up with things to amuse themselves.

That's why sailors should always take plenty of beer and always go out with 'close personal friends'.

. . . and wear lifevests.

Their prices are good. I paid $149.00 two years ago for the Mustang auto-inflate in red, now $125.00.

BK is right though. At speeds you need something that will resist impact and stay with you.

I just ordered the wife and I the same LifeLine Poker Run jacket he has shown in the above post, except for the color.

We went with black, red flames and blue trim to better match the boat.

You have to give them you height, weight, chest size and waist size and it is custom made for you!

Better save than sorry.

You can also get your boat name or some other logo on them if you want.
