single drive on a catamaran/ stress?
#1
we are discussing about the single drive in the middle of catamarans tunnel.i think drive has to handle more stress compare to side installation.are you agree?
rewatched freeze frame videos and saw that on three engine setups middle engine is taking much more vibration etc.(very easy to see on outboard models)
i am using bravo 1 drive with some aftermarket parts
up-grade,engine is big and blown. is there any solution to this?
-may be a small fiber in front of drive?? i dunno the name in english.to explain that part:it will look like a trimaran from rear but its much shorter like 20 inches long.smthng like rocket laminated to tunnel
-do you think extension box may help to reduce stress in this combination?
thnx

Tim you should always use a deflector in front of the tunnel motor,I designed several different styles for my triple engine Cats.. Things worth considering are the Aspect ratio, and the shape of the bottom of the appendage..
I had one that was stepped/hollow and vented thru the transom end..
Good luck and safe boating.
