looking at this kit and heard it is pretty good, reliable and does,nt hurt engine. jim out there said it will help with mileage at mid speed. he said i would not have to change props because they raise rev limiter by 400rpm and its not necessary. any experience here?

I don't know anyone that has it but Cattitude had Dustin Whipple do one for his (my old boat) and it was about $600 and he picked up 4-5 mph. You might PM him and get the low down.

I had Jim reprogram my ecu's on my 575's and the motors are running much leaner (no more black soot on the transom) and I am burning less gas. He also had me install an msd box as well. The rev. limiter goes to about 5600. I tried the smaller pulleys but it didn't make enough difference to justify the extra boost at midrange in my opinion. Overall the results were good I would recommend it for the 575's. You would think Mercury should do this!!!
