Thumbs up Indiana Fuel Tax Refund Form

The following link is for the Indiana Fuel Tax refund.
It's worth $0.18 a gallon.
Might save you a few bucks!
When you reach the link go to REF-1000
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader.

If you purchase gas in Indiana whether from the marina or trailered to the gas station you have paid 18 cents a gallon in State fuel tax(highway tax)
This money is refundable if you boat on Lake Michigan.
Save your receipts.
Hope this helps.
By the way where are you from in Indiana?

Dang. Didn't save the reciepts this year, but will do next year! Thanks for the tip!

Is this only good on Lake Michigan? What about other places; like Simington, Wawasee and St Joe?

We're just south of Elkhart.

Download the PDF file with it's instructions and you'll see it's only if you boat on Lake Michigan.
So save your slips and use only the ones with gas usage from Lake Michigan
Also instructions inform of slips with your name on it only.
Talked to Indy last week about this and they told me It's OK to send receipts without a name printed out as
long as you sign them.
A lot of gas pumps printout slips without names for protection purposes.

Hey Dan>>>>Save those Hammond gas receipts!!!

So I can fill up the boat here in Lafayette, get a printout and sign it and send it in? How do they know if you don't go to Lake Michigan?

Of course not. That's why I would only stay around Michigan City, IN. When the GPS would tell me I'm about to cross the state line, I would turn around.
