Default How do I find a trailer S.N. #

I bought a 26' cv scarab on a twin axle trailer. I need the make and S.N. #. I did not get a registration for the trailer. It looks like it is a load right galvanized trailer that was painted white. How can I get a S.N. # My ins company said they will cancel my policy if I can't get it. I an going to take the plate to the secretary of state and try to search it. Is there any ware on the trailer it would be stamped????

On mine there is a sticker that has the brand, VIN #,
capacity and other info. If you're facing the front of the boat, it's on the right side of the tougue.

Normally it is on the tongue of the trailer. Could be on the inside or outside but usually the outside. If they painted over it your going to have to remove the paint where the tag is. Even if its painted you should see the outline of the tag. If not have the seller write you a new bill of sale and list the trailer as home made. At least in Massachusetts they don't require a sn number.
