496 HO mag - Whipple or Procharger?
#1
Hello everyone! new to the forum and looking for some help. I have a 2002 25ft Baja Outlaw with the 496 HO Mag (425hp). I am looking at putting a blower on the boat and wanted to know if anyone has tried the whipple or the procharger on this boat and motor combination? Both companies have fairly new systems for this motor and was hoping someone has tried them already. Also would like to know what prop worked with both systems in this boat as well as before and after performance results. Not asking to much am I? Any advice is appreciated.

The bravo will be fine at the 600-625Hp as long as you use a drive shower and use amsoil synthetic lube and dot't hammer it too hard out of the hole. Once you crack the 70-80 mph hydraulic steering is needed.

I think CFD5 on the board has the exact same setup as you with a Procharger. You might contact him too see how he like his.
I just put a Whipple on my 502, we are still working with the props to get the max speed. Hopefully we will get it dialed in pretty soon.
