well I drove my parents down to Ft. Meyers over the weekend.,what a drive. I think parents are as bad as kids!!! Anyway I had about 24 hrs. before I had to jump a plane back home, saw a couple nice boats running out between Sanibel and Ft. meyers sure got my blood boiling.Had some great sea food at Junkeroo's and the Crab Trap you guys in South Florida sure know how to live 80 degrees and not a cloud in the sky!!!But Traffic !! holy crap!!

Actually you were close to Paradise, It's just down the road named Marco Island.

My sister has a winter home on a channel with a lift and no BOAT!!! now if I can figure out how to take the winter off??????

Going to see him Monday.

I think paradise is just north of there, up around Pt Charlotte or Punta Gorda. It's just as pretty, the real estate prices are more affordable, and the traffic isn't nearly as bad. The traffic is the main drawback to Ft Myers if you ask me. It was worse traffic there 20 years ago when the area first started booming and the roads had't caught up with the boom. I remember a two lane road was the only route to the beach. It took forever to get there.
