Zups engine is perfect for a blower, I think it had one originally , go for it ! I decided to have Kurts Marine,(Bandit racing engines) build me a mild 509 with a small blower , pretty much what i had from MRD. I only got 35 hours from the MRD motor before it dropped a valve and wreaked havoc on my block , I am shooting for about 725hp my boat is much heavier than the Zuperboat and a blower on his 540 would really scream!

JIM I HAVE A QUICK QUESTION.WHAT HEADS WHERE YOU RUNNING .DID THE VALVE BREAK OR THE VALVE SEAT FALL OUT EITHER WAY NOT GOOD .SKIP BUILDS GOOD STUFF AND SOMETIMES THIS JUST HAPPENS NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU ARE.IVE SEEN VALVES BREAK, SEATS FALL OUT,AND DECKS CRACK WITH NO SIGNS OF DETONATION AND WHAT RECOURSE DO YOU HAVE NONE.AT LEAST NOW WHEN SOMETHING BREAKS I JUST CRACK OPEN A BEER AND CALL SEATOW. eek:
