Default LOTO a victory on no wake

The Lake Sun is reporting that Rep. Wayne Cooper plans to withdraw his portion of the bill that address the proposed loosening of no wake restrictions on the lake.

The portion of his bill that deals with the additional funding of the Water Patrol remains.

Cooper says that he received widespread criticism from boaters and marine dealers. " I think the cove issue has become too controversial and the first thing we need to do is increase the funding for the water patrol so we can get more officers on the lake".

Thank you DR. Cooper for listening to your constituents.

Now if we could insure that the extra funding actually makes it to the water patrol....
