hey guys, i'm looking to buy a late 80's 35' cigarette. the hull seems solid and the 502's run strong. the boat has been painted, top and bottom. the the cockpit is clean but never updated and the cabin needs to be redone. what are other things to look for in this boat that i can't see from the surface. what do ya'll think is a good buy on a boat like this? 2001 alum. trailer. thanks for any and all input. james

What did I miss? Profile makes an awesome boat, but he is asking about a Cig.


On mid 80s Cig, or any boat for that matter, I would get a marine servey. Most insurance companies will require it anyway, banks too for that mater.
Ask around for who is the most reputable in your area.
