Anyone ever tried these mufflers??


Double X Slip-in Silencers

These new design mufflers provide maximum silencing with a minimal loss of performance. Made from stainless steel, they are constructed to “bend” the exhaust’s sound waves which greatly reduces the boat’s noise level (up to 12db reduction). They are 4 3/4” long and fasten with one bolt. That's what I thought. They are claiming up to a 12db noise reduction

Very restrictive. I think the hp limit is around 400.

I just called them and they say that these are not that restrictive and can be used with motors in the 600 hp range. They told me that you will see very little if any performance drop in an HP500 EFI motor and that they create very little back pressure??

Tried a set on a 305 chevy in a small Donzi. Worked well. Took off some of the harsh sound.
Don't think I would try them on much higher HP applications.
Just bought a set of GGB muffler tips for a
Merc 525. Designed for high HP motors.
Will be posting photos and results in about a month.
