This will be his first boat and it was a FREAKING 32' BLOW BOAT I told him that was stupid and he thinks I don't like it cause it won't burn $750 in gas in a weekend... Help me out.. he has NO sailing time, and this end of erie is SHALLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 What do I tell this knucklehead or shall I just put him out of his future misery? Help me win the conversation

I was talking to some guy one time and he had a 38 top gun. Then he started talking about racing and I had no idea what he was saying because he was talking about blow boat racing. It turns out he had like over 3 mil. in two sail boat he raced and they had all this cool computer stuff in them. So after he was done talking I asked him what was up with the TG and he said it was no fun to go out on the sail boats, he only liked racing them. He pointed out that you cant pull into 3 feet of water and raft up and it was just plain slow, that it didn't matter when you race because you were all slow. He felt that it took more skill to win a race in a sail boat and thats what he liked. At the end of the day I thought the guy was a dick but he had some good points.

I hang out in Newport RI quite a bit in the summer. The self proclaimed sailing capital of the world. I love going in that harbor with a couple of boats and pull right up to the main docks. People in sail boats look at you like you are from another planet.
