The ferry to Kellys shut down??
Just read it in the paper last week. The town of Marble Head added a opperating tax to be applied to each rider starting this season.
The service which had already started running this season due to the early thaw cancelled service and basically said, "F-U!".
They said there is rumors of them moving the service to Sandusky which would add at least a 1/2 hr to the trip and probably at least double current rates.
I figure it's probably scare tactics from the ferry owners but have'nt heard anything else??
Getting worse and worse up there with all the local businesses wanting in your pocket that it would only wake since that Marble head wants a pice of the pie too since the ferry docks there.
My guess it that Marblehead folds to the pressure though. The businesses in town are making serious $$ off the ferry riders. With them gone, they will struggle.
