Question What grit to use on bottom of boat?

Ive seen some posts that recommend a certain grit of sandpaper to rough up the bottom for an extra mph or so. Is it 320 or 400 or 600 or what? I have the boat off of the trailer and getting ready for the mess now. Thanks Greg

Wet 800 is what I've heard from sailboat racers.
