Hp500 Carb Rev Limit

The limiter and I think the knock sensor are built into the Thunderbolt V module that you have.
The only option I have heard of is switching the ignition electronics over to aftermarket.
If you have added a different cam and heads this may be worth it but if it is still stock I can't see a whole lot more out of the engine justifying the change.
I am running a different cam and have had the heads worked and don't see the need. I think mine are listed at 5350rpm and kick in a tad higher. But I like boating more than turning wenches

TO INCREASE THE RPM REPLACE IGNITION SYSTEM WITH SOMETHING AFTERMARKET LIKE MSD I HAVE RUN THESE ENGINES ON THE DYNO THIS WAY AND THEY MAKE A LITTLE MORE POWER TO WARDS 5600 RPM BUT YOU NEED TO BE CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE THE SPRING PRESS IN THE HEAD WILL HOLD THAT RPM BECAUSE IF THE SPRINGS ARE LOOSE YOU CAN HAVE A FAILURE YOU DON'T NEED. IF YOU DO THIS YOUR SPRING PRESS NEEDS TO BE AROUND 160LBS ON THE SEAT AND 390 TO 420 OPEN TO TURN 5600 SAFELY WITH THAT SET UP I'VE USED THESE PRESS SUCCESSFULLY WITH NO DAMAGE AND NO FAILURE IN RACING APPLICATIONS.HOPE THE INFO IS USEFUL TO YOU LAZ MESA WWW.MESABALANCING.COM
