My best friends older brother was in it here in Chicago last year!
Was the funniest thing ive seen in a long time! Thier team was called "The Kicken Chickens" and they all dressed up in chicken getups! They were actually winning the competition all the way till the end! then in the last 3 jumps then ended up in 3rd place!
I think they actually "flew" the furthest but they also judge the competition on "performance" and "creativity" and were edged out by a few points! either way they ended up with $1500......enough to pay for all the building materials they used in they creation and each guy walked away with like $100
If anyone can make it to see one of these events i HIGHLY HIGHLY recomend going.....and if you can make it by boat....even better!!! Last year it was the first time they did it here in Chicago and were planning for some 20k people..........last i heard they topped 55k!!!
I was crowded to say the least on land!
