Default Another Digital camera question???

I'm in the process of deciding on which camera to buy. I have narrowed the field down to two, The Kodak dx6490 and the fuji s5000. I have read reveiws and talked to camera shops about both. Now, who has the fuji s5000 and how do you like it. Thanks in advance for the help!!!!

don't know much about the fuji's , but the kodak line is very user friendly, excellent for not so tech minded people, but i have to agree having had a few different camera's, i definately think my olympus takes the best pics...

I've had my Olympus C3020 for a few years now and love it. Great pics and easy to use.
Sorry... no experience w/ kodak or fuji.

Default I would go with the fuji 7000

a better camera than the 5000 and they have a $100 rebate on it.
I didn't know squak about cameras. But I had a S602 zoom and loved it. My buddy wanted a camera so I sold my 602 to him and bought the s7000. It's a good camera and I paid $422 after rebate.

Read on the 7000 or the 5000 or the F700 (just like the 7000 but has only 3x zoom and the 5 and has 6x optical zoom. My girlfriend has the F700 and I have the 7000. We are a Fuji family.

RWS - I have talked to several camera shops about the DX6490. Not one of them had much good to say about the kodak company. The camera itself is a good buy, in the price range group that it is in. The problem lies in service after the sale and after the warranty runs out. That is where I have concerns. The two cameras that I have selected have simular features. the Fuji is about $100.00 cheaper and Fuji doesn't have the special battery issues.

Thanks for the input, gang!

I think you should take a look at the new Canon A75 which may not be on the market for another month. but looks like a great 3+mp camera.
