Default spark plugs/high tension leads?

newbie question again.
still working on the boat and noticed that the plugs are ac delco auto plugs! are they correct? or should there be some platnium marine plugs in there?
the high tension leads are quiksilver. how do these compare. is there a better type of wire? or plug combo to consider.
recap; engines are 454 merc

AC makes marine plugs also. If the first letter is an "M", its marine. Auto plugs will work fine. You just need to change them more often, because they aren't stainless.
You should have an MR43T or MR43TS.
