Anybody know any tricks to get a distributer rotor off. This ***** does not want to come off. HELP!

Break it and get a new one. I think Merc recommends locktite when you put them on. Breaking them is about the only way to get it off.

Thanks Griff, I ended up just leaving it on there. I was afraid of breaking or bending something else. I put a new cap, wires, and plugs. Seems to be running good.

two screwdrivers will pry it off usaully. I have broke a few in my time.

that what aI have done also. they usually rust holding them on. go back and replace it .

Try using a heat gun and soften it. Then try prying it off.

Dremel tool to cut a slice in it then a fine sharp chisel. Wrap the area with a rag for easy clean up.
