Hello everyone, I'm new here and I'm going to ask a "stupid question". Does anyone know where I can get purple carbon fiber/ kevlar reinforcement by the yard? Any info would be great, Thank you!

No, they actually have some special colored weaves out. The color only runs in one direction and it looks pretty trick. If nobody steps up here. Ask Sean Stinson.

i have used a few of the colored fabrics. they are actually kevlar/carbon hybrids. usually carbon fiber in the warp direction and kevlar in the fill. comes in blue/red/yellow/green. havent seen purple though heres a link. link

if you really need purple you might be able to get the red kevlar in a 2X2 twill weave and use a blue tinted clear gell to get somthing close. let me know if you need any help. i play with this stuff all the time. i've been building some new stuff for the Batboats.

Yeah, I've seen blue, red, orange, and yellow, they're pretty common. There's a place called Auto Boutique in the Bronx that said they can order it in a 4'x4' sheet for $365 plus shipping. And there's no returns on special orders, so I think it's a scam middleman operation, that seems crazy expensive to me. But they must get it from somewhere!! Oh, and Glassdave, I don't think I replied to you, but the dash looks great!
