just got back from dyno 454 .30 over dart alum. heads dominator 850 carb dual plane air gap only had time for a couple of pulls turned an avrg of 560 lbs of torq and peak hp 575 what do you guy's think it's going in a 28 scarab excel including the platform. boat weighs 4500 lbs lightened it up aprox 500 now4000 how bought a prop any sugestions????

Try a Bravo 1 24p to start

I have the same boat with about the same hP but I got about 75 lb more tork. I am running a 26p prop @ 5400rpm. My boat is loaded with gear and with all the extras it is heavier than when I got it. I would think you should see around 75mph.

what rpm was max HP & tork????

just hit it 600 lbs of tourqe and 600 hp I kew a little more tweaking would do the trick ready to rock!!!

MS 28 SCARAB I would try a 26 Bravo or a 24-25 hydromotive. We are going though the same thing now trying to get a 30p Bravo to run at 6000 rpm. with are new Richie Zul motor.
