Anyone procharge their 496ho yet.Im going to buy one shortly and need some feed back.Im putting it in a campion chase 800 27 ft vee.

Bill, your probably one of the first people to try this mod. Then engine has simply not been out long enough for there to be many of these type of applications, but there sure will be many curious people here awaiting your feedback.

A friend of mine Pro-charged his 272 Baja that had a 496 H.O. Boat was running 63 mph before, picked up 10 mph to 73. They run 4.5 lbs of boost really mild but procharger said they were just starting out with this new package. Said he had to relocate a few things, but all the brackets were provided. Overall he was pleased. Have Fun !!!

It's pretty good. 10MPH is pretty basic at 5lbs and seems pretty reliable. Time does tell...

My friend just passed 75 hours since his 496 HO blower install. He also just blew a head gasket, with only 4# boost. New stretch bolts and blower spec head gaskets on order.

hey what year of 496 ho was your friends if you dont mind...and how many total hours were on motor at the time of head gasket failure???
