Depends on how much valve overlap you have. My cams have 59* total and reverted water with merc manifolds and imco ss risers. Freind runs same cams and reverted water with EMIs. If your overlap is near mine or more, I would go with exhaust that is minimally dry to the tips and preferrably dry all the way. If you give me all the cam timing specs I could dump them into my dd2000 to find your total overlap. For what it is worth, I just switched to KE exhaust which I think will fix my prob.

Yea, your gonna have to go buck up to the nearly dry exhaust or idle at 1200 which wont be good for a Bravo. Better to deal with it now than be building new motor later.

MS 28 SCARAB
That cam is Crane

296/306 Adv
236/246 @.050
.553/.571
114* LSA
109* ICL
119* ECL
73* Overlap
Not the best marine design for wet exhaust. I agree with BT and Formula 31, better to address it now than later.

Well, your really into an aftermarket manifold with dry pipes, or cmi, eickert or even lightning but your gonna have to stay dry until the end of the pipes (transom). Id call Fred (too old) and work with him if I were you. I had gils on my formula with dry pipes (very loud) with an even worse cam. Whatever you get, make sure it doesnt introduce the water until nearly the end of the pipes or a full length runner like the eickerts.

Ms, you're going to need those salisbury flaps also, with the exhaust under the platform going in reverse and wakes while floating could be a real problem

my $0.02 ditch the cam for a crane 731 or 741 depending on your cubic inches unless you like to run at 6500 rpms

I agree. You'll make more power in the rpm range where you need it.
