Need Computer help with Pop ups

The Wife got some virus as best I can tell on her lap top. Anyone know of a good spyware download or download to use that will search out viruses?

spybot search and destroy is a good start, you should be able to get that on download.com

I'm sure you will get a few more names too

Adaware from www.lavasoftusa.com is another good one - tends to compliment Spybot pretty well.

I use adaware and spyblaster.
Make sure to update atleast once a week.

Jon, use Spybot first and see if it takes care of the problem. I have heard through quite a few people in the know not to use adaware, that is puts it's own junk on your machine.

Adaware and the popup stopper from google works for me. I run adaware every other day.

Tell your wife to stay off the porn sites also.

I was being driven crazy from pop ups. I had two pop killers running and still couldn't stop them. Downloaded spybot, and voila', no more pop ups. The best thing is it's free too!
