Default Need Ideas for a boat for the wife

I want to get the wife driving our boats. She is to afraid to drive anything large so I want to get her something in the 16-18 foot range. So far the most interesting thing to me is a Donzi 16 or 18 footer. I am looking to spend about 7K tops. Anyone have any other suggestions for boats? I want it to be something stable and easy to drive.

Jon

How about a pontoon boat. They are fun and easy to drive.

How about buying a used rental boat from a marina with an outboard? This will allow her to not be concerned about dings and dents etc. You can usually pick them up really cheap.

I would go with the Donzi, but your gonna spend a little more than you wished.

BUT, they are a cool boat that you could use also!!!

The Donzi is a cool boat, but I think it sits a little too low/close to the water. You need to think like a woman and that means she will want a boat that has a little more freeboard so she will feel confident/safe if the waves are kicking up a little bit. Her confidence is what you need to build up--right????

Good luck and I think you have a great idea !!!!

A good friend of mine has a 22' DCB... his wife didn't like the speed, and he was tired of hearing her *****... so he bought her a pontoon boat. Now he can go fast and she can get there when she gets there!!
