Doug Lewis continues the battle
Following is the latest update from Leeanne Lewis regarding Champion Throttleman/engine builder Doug Lewis' battle with Bone Cancer. He continues to show the way in courage and poise.......
Hi Everyone:

Just came home from the hospital and thought I'd fire off a quick note before going to bed._ Doug has gotten 2 units of blood so far._ The infectious disease doctor is almost 90% sure Doug has some kind of staph infection (not good)._ They already started antibiotics for that yesterday and tomorrow they are running another round of blood cultures to be certain._ They think the problem is coming from the Quinton port._ If so, they will remove it._ We've been told it will be a long fight to rid his blood of this infection.

Doug remains in fairly high spirits and looks better since getting the transfusions._ He'll probably get another tomorrow._ I'm sorry I can't call each of you individually but time doesn't allow it between working and spending all evening with Doug.

YOU KNOW BEHIND EVERY MAN OF STEEL THERE IS A WOMAN OF STEEL.......THEY ARE ALWAYS IN OUR THOUGHTS. MAYBE SOME ON THIS BOARD SHOULD TAKE NOTE, ISSUES WITH HE SAID, THEY SAID ARE NOTHING IN COMPARISON TO THE ON GOING STRUGGLE THAT HE AND LEEANNE LIVE EVERY DAY.

Doug is a FIGHTER every step of the way and his Sweety is one tough individual as well.. His attitude towards this battle has been positive all the way through despite the set backs that have occurred with his battle. Hang in there Buddy and always know that the Tracey Family is Praying and always here for the Two of You.
