Wait another 5 months when the C6 comes out. C5 will drop a nice amount.

Capo,
I agree with Tommy on this one. WAIT! As much as it is summer and you want to drive one...
They are already starting to liquidate the new 2004s in this area. It will be like the last few years of the C4 Vette when the C5 came out. EVERYONE dumped their C4 to get a C5. You could pick up late model C4s in the TEENS, as dealers would not take them on trade anymore. If you will be happy with a C5, and not a C6, wait until mid-late summer, and you may save $10K. PLUS, if you wait and drive a C6 like my Dad did... (he was happy with getting a used C4; until he drove a C5, he waited two years and ordered a new 2000 C5)... you may find yourself in the same boat.

Also, if you find a liquidated new one, you can get a cheaper interest rate, full warranty, and you know it has not been abused.

If you want something fun, pick up a really nice IROC or something, for $10K, and sell it again in the fall or spring. IROCs hold their value if they are unmolested. I am sure you can find one of your guido friends who can sell you one, and another willing to buy it.

Or find a C4 for the summer. Ours with 46k miles was somewhere around 12k March of 03.

I agree on the Z06, wait for the C6 and go to corvetteforum.com to pick up one from someone upgrading.

Last month I bought a 2004 convert. Love it. There are great deals at the dealers. I paid $1,100 under invoice and a little over $10,000 off MSRP and good financing. try www.kerbeck.com for their vette deals.
