Default Engine Hatch Gasket

Any ideas on what kind and where to buy the 1"x1/4" self adhesive foam-rubber to go on the engine hatch to stop the 2 peices of fiberglass from rubbing together when closed?

I purchased some of the thicker black material to replace my squashed down thin gray stuff at Home Depot in hardware aisle. After a couple years it is now starting to flatten out but is still better than what I had. When I get the time I'm thinking about replacing the gasket again and adding the screw down rubber feet like you would find on the bottom of older appliances like Microwaves.
Hope this helps.

If the primary goal is to stop the rubbing of glass to glass, I found a good solution. Apply the self-adhesive "fuzzy" side only of 3M's Velcro. It is available in rolls (Home Depot) in black or white. Sticks great, looks good and doesn't wear out. It comes in various widths. An Ace Hardware may sell buy the foot and have more choices.
