I just purchased a 1993 Boat with a 502. The silent choice air pump is missing. I believe that is the only thing misssing from the setup. Does anyone know the best place to find one and should I replace the plastic lines and fittings that go to the actuators? Thank you for any assistance. Scott

You can buy the plastic line and fittings at any Home Depot store.

I think my buddy may have a used pump. i'll ask him this week.

I think the next time my engine is out of my boat my silent choice is getting taken out. I've had a lot of problems with mine. If you want to come over and remove and replace my engine you can have it!

What kind of problems have you had with the Silent Choice. It seems like a fairly simple system. I have thought about not repairing it and just leaving it out the transom also.

I had a very smart brother tell me to leave mine running straight through .
and he told me if I did this it wouldn't cost anything .

The diverter on my starboard side keeps closing when I'm running. I had a Merc dealer look at it several times. He kept saying it was the check valve. He replaced the valve and it is still doing the same thing. I just used some tie wraps on to hold the diverters open. I have a stock 454 Mag and it's not that loud anyway.
