Looking for a good 12 Volt Vacuum Cleaner for boat.

Oreck 12v auto vac is the best one that I have found. Cheap too....

Never tried the Oreck - the ones that the wife bought all sucked. We've thrown out several.

I would invest in the little 120VAC Dirt Devil Handi-Vac from Target or Wal-Mart. Then pick up a mini; cigarette lighter inverter like this one:

They also sell those inverters at Target and Wal-Mart. Now you will have a Vac you can use in the house, or anywhere. And you have an inverter so you can take your laptop, blender, or whatever onto the boat. I normally don't plug my inverter into my boat cig lighter socket. My Jump Box Battery Kit has a cig lighter port, that I plug mine into, for anything from a trouble light, to the vacuum, to the blender. It works great, and you can recharge your jump-box at the house anytime.

P.S. I have two 12V dust-busters from the local auto supply store. They both suck, er, no they really don't. That's the problem. I find the same with most women.

I've gotten a couple different 12V car vacs as gifts, and every one was junk. I just use the shop vac for the trucks and the boat.

I have to agree with Brian on the Dirt Devil- make sure you get one with a beater brush for the carpet- Walmart has them for $38.00 or so.
All the 12V model are junk.
