I know you superboat guys like Panteras too!

My 24 is in the classifieds, less power. Great boat, very good condition.

Set up with gauges for a blower motor - Boost Gauge and Fuel pressure.

Question Re: 1999 24 Pantera Sport Less Power For Sale

I'm curious. What did a 24 Pantera run(gps) with 650hp? It's gotta be over a hundred. I know a SUPERBOAT would.

It would take some "big ones" to run these hulls over 100!

I don't think he ever did get it dialed in, if you read his other threads...
In my opinion the boat is way over powered with 650HP.
500HP will push a 24' Superboat or Pantera close to 85mph.
Don't think these hulls can handle much more than that.
Anyone ever been in one over 85mph? JC says no.
Jo at Pantera says 90, maybe with him behind the wheel.
650HP is much more suited to the 28' Pantera or 30' Superboat...

I'm guessing 85mph also. My buddy Spencer's Exciter 24 (the old Team Exciter raceboat), carbon fiber/unobtanium superlightweight/610+hp/dry exhaust/Blackhawk drive has seen a top speed of near 80. He's still breaking the motor in, so no idea of true top end but should be around 85-87. It's scary! That's me driving in the pic. It's for sale, btw...

The previous owner had radar runs in the lower 90's.

I rebuilt the motor and reprogrammed the ECM and picked up 20+ HP and I feel it was too much for the 7' beam. I now have a 28 Pantera on the way and this motor will be installed in it.

I should see 80+ in the 28.

Lower 90s, that is sick in a 24'

Good Luck with the 28' Pantera.
It is a lot more boat, with a nice big cabin.
